(PresseBox) (Nürtingen, )More than 220 exhibitors from 14 different countries will be taking part at the 1st PaintExpo which will be taking place from October 10 to 13, 2006, at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Grounds. Visitors will be greeted by an attractive program covering the complete process chain for wet painting and powder coating.
With this high number of participating exhibitors and level of internationality, PaintExpo follows on directly from the success of the prior event PaintTech. At the same time, both reflect the important role enjoyed by the event among trade visitors as information and procurement platform for industrial painting systems. This is also made very evident by the attractive presentations – numerous exhibitors will be presenting their products in the form of live demonstrations.
Premiere with plenty of innovations
The fact that PaintExpo is being regarded right from the start as an important meeting point for the trade can be seen not only in the participation of all international, well-established and recognised market leaders in the sector of plant engineering and application and conveyor systems as well as main paint manufacturers, but also in the presentation of numerous new developments. This includes, in particular, a multi-axial painting robot with up to seven axes, which has been designed especially for use in painting systems. With this innovation, only the robot arm reaches into the spraying chamber whilst all other functional elements are located outside and are protected against getting dirty. This means that the chamber width can be designed a lot smaller which, consequently, reduces considerably the necessary volumes of intake, exhaust and circulating air. In this way, it is possible to achieve compact, room-saving and easy-to-clean painting units that are suitable for both powder coating and for wet painting. Modern pistols, easy to service high-tech spraying equipment and high-rotation sprayers can be adjusted speedily to the respective workpiece, resulting in as little overspray as possible. In this way, the latest generation of air guns provides a spraying fineness with simultaneous enormous area coverage unknown until now. Nearly all materials can be worked. Easily handling ensures an excellent spraying result. The paint manufacturers attending PaintExpo will be presenting innovative paint systems with features to suit user needs that increase not only the functionality but also the aesthetics of paintwork. Among other things, this includes a new, highly weather-resistant coating powder for architectural applications. Along with excellent UV-resistance, it also has a high resistance to chemicals and solvents. In addition, high cross-linking density also reduces susceptibility to dirt and therefore cleaning costs. The new, ultrahigh solid paints make it possible to meet the requirements of the VOC directives without costly conversion work or new investments. This is made possible by the very high solid particle content of these paint systems.
The fringe program: Practice-related know how
Supplementary to the range offered by the exhibitors, the Trade Forum of PaintExpo offers practice-related know how. Representatives of the participating companies will be providing information on new developments, trends and current questions on all aspects of painting technology in application-related talks.
The state of technology and the chances of powder coating of wood and wood materials are the topic of a podium discussion which will be held in cooperation with the editorial office of the magazine “HK – Holz- und Kunststoffverarbeitung”. Well-know speakers from research, development and practice will be reporting on the latest developments in this sector and demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages in comparison with other application systems. In addition, a training forum will also be taking place during PaintExpo.
Solutions from all areas of painting technology
The range of exhibitors covers the complete field of industrial painting technology: plant engineering, application technology, drying, automation and conveying systems, paints, stripping, cleaning, pre-treatment, environmental technology, air supply, exhaust and water treatment, disposal, measuring and test equipment, quality assurance, accessories, sub-contract coating, services, training and research. In the case of in-house painting businesses and sub-contractor coating plants that process solvent-based paints, PaintExpo offers optimum possibilities for them to inform themselves selectively and comprehensively about means of reducing solvent emission with regard to the transitional period for the VOC directive which runs out on October 31, 2007.
SURFACTS, the international trade fair for surface technology, and INTERPART, the international suppliers’ trade fair, will be taking part parallel to PaintExpo from October 10 to 12, 2006. Valuable synergy effects will be created for both visitors and exhibitors as a result. www.paintexpo.de
