Direct PV procurement in France drops significantly as compared to 2013

Due to further FiT reductions, only 830 MW were installed in France in 2014, which means the target of 1 GW was clearly missed
(PresseBox) (Bonn, ) The "European PV InstallerMonitor 2014/2015" shows that the share of direct procurement decreased as compared to the previous study. Therefore, installers do not purchase as many modules directly from the manufacturers as before. SolarWorld dominates the French market. Not only does the German brand lead the field by far in regards to installers who purchase SolarWorld modules; the installers who carry SolarWorld also offer this brand highly exclusively. In addition, nearly a third of all installers offer storage or are planning to do so; the expected low margins prevent further installers from offering energy storage. Therefore, hardly any brands have established themselves on the market so far. Nearly half of all storage installations were retro-fit installations (46%).

These are some of the many results of EuPD Research's annual monitoring of installers. Over 750 companies in Europe were surveyed and questioned about their procurement behavior, product portfolio, satisfaction with and recommendation of brands, as well as energy storage solutions.
