Multimach Valves and Fieldbus

Multimach - HDM Profibus (PresseBox) (Denkendorf, ) Metal Work Multimach and HDM valves, which have met with great success in the market as they are modular, extremely versatile and compact, have now been complemented with a wide range of fieldbuses in different versions for use with Multimach (IP20 protection) and HDM (IP65 protection).

Versions for Multimach: the fieldbuses can be mounted adjacent to the valve island and can handle up to 24 output signals in the following protocols:

- Profibus DP
- Interbus
- Device net
- Can open

Other modules can be added to handle other signals: digital inputs, analogue inputs, digital outputs, analogue outputs. With this system as many as 144 Inputs/Outputs can be handled using one slave node only!

Versions for HDM (Heavy-Duty Multimach): electronics is housed directly inside the pneumatic input terminal, with a compact solution that is suitably protected by the aluminium body. IP65 versions are available for the following protocols:

- Profibus DP, up to 16 Outputs
- AS-Interface, 4 or 8 Outputs, zero, 4 or 8 Inputs
- X2X by B&R, 16 Outputs plus additional Input/Output modules

Modularity in the design of Multimach valves ensures optimal utilisation of each node. This means that, at any time and without requiring additional elements, it is possible to mount 5/2 bistable valves, 5/2 monostable valves, 5/3 and 3/2 valves individually or combined together. Up to three different sizes can also be mounted together; with fittings for use with 4mm, 6mm or 8mm pipes. The flow rate ranges from 200 Nl/min in the valve for the 4mm pipe to 800 Nl/min for the 8mm pipe. The operating pressure ranges from 0 to 10 bar. With a degree of protection IP65, this valve island can withstand vibration up to 16 g (16 times the force of gravity) with frequencies of 0 to 55 Hertz. In short, optimal performance, robustness, and reliability while maintaining excellent modularity and miniaturisation.
