Deutsche Börse to organize trading on Bulgarian Stock Exchange
Bulgarian Stock Exchange uses Xetra trading system/ Deutsche Börse distributes market data in real time
(PresseBox) (Frankfurt am Main, )With the start of trading on 16 June, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange has been using Xetra® - the fully electronic trading system of Deutsche Börse Group.
The contract governing the technical market control of the stock exchange in Sofia has an initial term of five years. Deutsche Börse will be responsible for organizing trading in approximately 500 securities listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

The technical requirements are now in place to provide users of the fully electronic Xetra trading system with direct access to the Bulgarian financial market in the future. Deutsche Börse is supporting the development of the Bulgarian capital market by offering international investors this access.
The 80 new participants from Bulgaria will also have the opportunity to trade in more than 330,000 instruments listed on Xetra.
As of 16 June, Deutsche Börse is also responsible for calculating and licensing the Bulgarian indices SOFIX, BG 40 Index, BG TR30 Index and BG REIT Index as well as delivering real-time Bulgarian Stock Exchange market data. Deutsche
Börse Market Data & Analytics offers three new information products from the stock exchange in Sofia, which it will distribute via CEF® data feeds.
Deutsche Börse has been sourcing partner for the Viennese and Irish Stock Exchanges since 1999 and 2000 respectively. The Eurex subsidiaries Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo as well as the European Energy Exchange also use the Xetra trading system. The Shanghai Stock Exchange will be using Xetra as the basis for its new electronic trading system.
Xetra is a fully electronic trading platform to which over 250 banks and brokerage firms from 20 countries are connected. Buy and sell orders from licensed traders are matched in a central computer from any location across the globe. Xetra is one of the fastest and most efficient trading systems in the world. More instruments are tradable on Xetra than on any other platform.
Deutsche Börse collects market data in its own trading systems and those of its partners. Using CEF data feeds, it offers brokerage firms, investment advisors, fund managers and information providers access to real-time data on prices,indices and volumes directly from the trading venues.
