E.C.H. Will presents the first Technical Improvement Program for exercise book lines and ruling machines

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, ) Beginning June 2010, E.C.H. Will is offering its customers a Technical Improvement Program (T.I.P.) for exercise book lines and ruling machines. T.I.P. Converting 10.1 provides more than 50 different T.I.P. modules for the modernization of converting machines types 280, 281, 282, Rotex, 280 Gamma / 280 Delta and the Alpha series.

Of foremost importance in the modernization program are solutions for increasing the efficiency of the systems. Other areas of focus are greater machine availability, higher production speed, improved product quality and expansion of the product range as well as the replacement of parts that are no longer available, socalled "obsolete parts".

"The owners of our converting machines can significantly improve the efficiency and output of their current machine with the aid of individual modules or module packages," says Klaus Dammann, Product Manager Technical Rebuild at E.C.H. Will. "Our customers are supported by T.I.P. experts in the selection and combination of the right modules on the basis of a costbenefit analysis".

The machinery remains intact during all activities, hence keeping the volume of capital investment manageable. Rapid commissioning of the modernized machine is ensured at the same time. And even training expenses are kept under control as machine operators do not need to be trained for a complete new machine.

"The modernization of their older machines allows our customers to produce the latest, exportable products," stresses Klaus Dammann. "Thus extension of the product range and the development of new markets can be used to increase competitiveness."

One especially important aspect is the scheduled replacement of obsolete parts. This reduces the risk of any unplanned machine stoppages along with the resulting loss of production.

One example in particular, is the drive control package, included in T.I.P. E 3030 (Siemens S5 -> S7 upgrade), which has been completed after intensive preliminary work. This special technology included in this T.I.P. allows the modification of the drive at high performance machines without major difficulties and risk, ensuring a short downtime due to modification and thus planning reliability.

The modernizations guarantee improved machine availability, production safety and reliable production planning at all times.

Further information about the latest modernization program is available on the E.C.H. Will website (www.will.kpl.net) in the Services area. A detailed overview of T.I.P. Release 10.1 for converting machines can also be requested there.
