Experts meet at ECCE/ECAB in Berlin from 26-29 September
(PresseBox) (Berlin, ) The 8th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE) and the 1st European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECAB), organized by DECHEMA, take place in Berlin from 26-29 September, in conjunction with further annual meetings of German process engineers and biotechnologists.

Since the market introduction of the first stability analyser LUMiFuge® in 1998 LUM instruments are successfully used in chemical engineering and increasingly in biotechnology. LUM is invited to give an ECCE talk about the characterization of the dispersion properties of carbon nanotubes. For this modern material, difficult to characterize due to its structure and properties, the advantage of the patented STEP-technology® in the centrifugal field is highlighted, as realized in the Dispersion Analyser LUMiSizer® and Stability Analyser LUMiFuge®. A second talk focusses on the faster separation of emulsions and suspensions by inclination, as unique measuring principle for the physically accelerated characterization under application conditions (gravity, temperature).

Latest instruments are presented in the exhibition at stand E9. Especially by using the new SEPView® 6 software, meeting all modern requirements, the automatic simultaneous analysis of the particle size distribution for up to 24 samples, is enabled, significantly increasing the effectivity. The absolute novelty, the multi-wavelength LUMiReader® PSA, as well as the Dispersion Analyser LUMiSizer® are instruments for the comprehensive understanding of complex industrial products in an easy way, giving hydrodynamic particle density, separation velocity distribution and particle size distribution in addition to the direct stability result.
