Successful entrepreneurship in semiconductors
An interactive training workshop aimed at energizing potential entrepreneurs
February 4, 2013, imec, Leuven, Belgium
This seminar will outline some entrepreneurship challenges using examples from the author’s experience with the formation of numerous fabless semiconductor companies. In addition to providing the background, the seminar will outline elements required for successful entrepreneurship in the field of semiconductors, e.g., new equipment ideas, new process ideas and new IC product ideas.

Transaction Level Modeling (TLM 2.0) using SystemC
February 7-8, 2013, imec, Leuven, Belgium
This course will introduce fundamental concepts of transaction level modeling (TLM) and gives the participant an opportunity to get acquainted with different system modeling approaches. TLM is a methodology based on system abstraction, bringing software and hardware closer through a common interface.

Introduction course to Cadence-based full custom design
March 13-15, 2013, imec, Leuven, Belgium
During this course, the participants will explore a design flow of simple analog circuits through hands-on Cadence sessions.

Nanometer CMOS ICs (Eurodots approved)
April 8-12, 2013, imec, Leuven, Belgium
The nanometer CMOS ICs course is developed to bridge the gap between the various semiconductor disciplines: design, layout, test, lithography, process development, product design, package engineering, etc. Important criteria, such as performance, cost aspects, design cost and design time, low power optimization, design for testability and reliability are also covered and elaborated in this course.

Nanoscale CMOS process technology (Eurodots approved)
May 13-17, 2013, imec, Leuven, Belgium
This course offers a comprehensive, advanced state-of-the art training program in the practice, fundamentals, and emerging trends of silicon wafer processing focused on deep submicron CMOS devices.
