3.0 MW Wind Technology

Component certificate of the HybridDrive completed
Handing over of Statement of Compliance at Hannover Fair (f.l.t.r. Zundel,... (PresseBox) (Rostock, ) Two years ago Winergy and W2E agreed to a cooperation for the development of the HybridDrive. The system, consisting of a two speed planetary gearbox and a direct linkage of the permanent-magnet driven generator, allows for a shortened drive train of the new W2E turbine technology with a rated power of 3.0 MW.
At the Hannover Fair the Statement of Compliance for the HybridDrive was handed over to Winergy. Frank Witte, Deputy Head of the Certification Office for Wind Energy Systems with TÜV Rheinland, happily delivered the certificate to Matthias Deicke, Winergy project manager for HybridDrive.
In August 2013 W2E is going to commission the prototype of their 3.0 MW wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 120 m close to Rostock. The turbine is successfully verified in compliance with the requirements of guideline of the German Lloyd, edition 2010, as well as German and international Grid Codes.
