Schaltbau snap-action switches used by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen

S970 snap-action switches are used by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen (PresseBox) (München, ) Schaltbau's latest S970-series snap-action switches are installed in sophisticated printing machines made by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. These hardwearing, highly efficient components operate as position and limit switches in the printing and coating units of state-of-the-art sheet-fed offset printing presses. More information is available at:

The snap-action switches installed in these machines are exposed to severe conditions. Not only do they need to be resistant to aggressive chemical detergents, they also have to be resilient to the powder dust used to dry the printed sheets - and they consistently manage to perform both of these feats. The S926 and S970 series are designed with highly robust polyetherimide (PEI) housings. The material has numerous advantages over the conventional polycarbonate, including greater stability when exposed to extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals as well as 50% greater shock resistance. The snap-action switches are therefore suitable for use wherever impact forces require materials to withstand a great deal of shock. But the S9xx series is not only ideal for use in printing equipment: these versatile components are also impervious to saltwater spray and salty solutions, making them highly suitable for offshore applications such as in the wind power sector.
