PaintExpo Presents the Entire Spectrum of Industrial Painting Technology

PaintExpo International Trade Fair for Industrial Painting Technology in Karlsruhe, from the 10th through the 13th of October, 2006 (PresseBox) (Neuffen, ) More quality, economy and environmental friendliness – requirements which show no mercy where painting and coating of metals, wood and wooden materials, plastics and other materials are concerned. With PaintExpo, the painting industry once again has a trade fair which offers a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the fields of liquid painting, powder coating, coil coating, paints and pre-treatment. The international trade fair for industrial painting technology will take place at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre from the 10th through the 13th of October, 2006.

Roughly 4 months before PaintExpo opens its doors for the first time in Karlsruhe, 143 exhibitors from inside and outside of Germany have already registered (as of 26 May 2006). They come from the fields of equipment and application technology, drying, automation and conveyor technology, paints, paint stripping, cleaning and pre-treatment, environmental engineering, air supply, exhaust air and wastewater treatment, disposal, measuring and test technology, quality assurance, accessories, job-shop coating, service, training and research. Nearly all of the leading suppliers of painting technology and important paint manufacturers will be on hand. Jürgen Haußmann, managing director of event promoter FairFair GmbH, also reports that numerous exhibitors will present their products and services at very large booths. Various exhibitors have even doubled their floor space in comparison with the last PaintTech, allowing them to offer live demonstrations of their equipment.

Innovative Solutions for Liquid Painting
An important topic for PaintExpo in the field of liquid painting is the reduction of solvent emissions in accordance with requirements set forth in the VOC directive. The specified limit values can be adhered to by various means, for example through the use of low-solvent painting systems, or by switching to water based paints or powdered enamels. Beyond this, paint consumption can also be reduced in many cases with modern application systems. Where the use of multi-component paints is concerned, increased process reliability, for example by means of dependable and easy to use mixing and dosing systems, is of prime importance. Smaller and smaller lot quantities and the ever increasing variety of hues represent a special challenge for the operators of painting and coating systems. In this case, system concepts which are consistently laid out for maximum flexibility assure economic operation and a sharp competitive edge. PaintExpo offers comprehensive information and solutions for a broad range of topics covering all aspects of liquid painting and powder coating with regard to systems technology as well as coating materials.

Reduced Powder Coating Costs
How can efficiency be increased for the initial coat, how can throughput be boosted, reproducible coating quality be achieved and personnel expenses be reduced with the help of additional automation – these are some of the questions which enjoy top priority in the field of powder coating. And the painting technology trade fair will provide the answers with the latest developments in powder conveying and application systems, as well as innovative modular controls which are distinguished by optimised user friendliness and process reliability.

Paints with Explicit Characteristics
Ever stricter requirements with regard to the functional and optical characteristics of painted surfaces are being fulfilled by the manufacturers with new paint systems. For example, paints will be presented which make the finished surface easier to clean, and which are furnished with anti-bacterial additives. New low-solvent, one-coat systems are now available for heavy-duty corrosion protection, and facade components made of aluminium can be reliably protected with innovative, extremely weather resistant powder coatings. As a result of greatly increased energy costs, reduced energy consumption has also become an important issue for painting operations, for example by means of lower baking temperatures, and more and more solutions are becoming available in this respect.

With comprehensive offerings covering the entire range of products and services for the painting industry, PaintExpo makes it possible for expert visitors to gather information in a targeted fashion, and to make direct comparisons amongst various systems and processes. As a supplement to information presented by the exhibitors, an expert forum will also be held at the international trade fair including practically oriented, applications related presentations from all fields of painting and coating technology.

SURFACTS, international trade fair for surface technology, and INTERPART, international trade fair for the supplier industry, will take place concurrent to PaintExpo. Valuable synergy effects will thus result for visitors and exhibitors alike.
