Installer survey reveals: British installers most commonly recommend solar modules from European manufacturers

The quality of solar modules is one of the most important recommendation criteria for installers in the United Kingdom / Installing companies have a key role in the buying process, as end customers only rarely request specific brands
(PresseBox) (Bonn, ) The British solar market will play an even more important role in the years to come, as a significant increase in installed capacity is expected. In a current prognosis, market researcher EuPD Research from Bonn estimates a total volume of about 2,7 GW in 2014. Measured by the capacity, Great Britain will the be strongest European market for the first time.

European brands such as REC, Solarworld and Q-Cells are highly regarded among British installers. Next to quality, guarantees and the reliability of delivery information are the most important reasons for recommendation. The mentioned manufacturers performed very well for these aspects as compared to other brands.

This is one of many results of EuPD Research's annual monitoring among installers. Other 750 companies were questioned about their experience with PV technologies, manufacturers and products.
