Lindex chooses innovaphone PBX as global communication platform

Logo Lindex (PresseBox) (Sindelfingen / Stockholm, ) Lindex' decision for a new telephony and communication system was triggered off by the termination of ISDN in Sweden. One of the leading fashion chains in Europe, the Gothenburg-based company wanted a consistent, sustainable communication system for all stores and branch offices. Now, Lindex have completely reorganized their communication infrastructure and have opted for an innovaphone PBX as central communication platform.

The successful expansion of Lindex in Europe had to be accompanied by a high-performance IT solution which was consistent with the company's ambitious standards in respect to Corporate Social Responsibility and environmental friendliness. Joakim Inghammar, IT Project Manager at Lindex, adds: "What we needed was a transition into a telephony and unified communication solution which is in line with one of our principal values: to make it simple for our customers and employees."

HCTECH Sweden AB, an independent Swedish IT consulting company specializing in Unified Communications and network design, recommended an innovaphone PBX. Håkan Olsson, Owner and Managing Director at HCTECH, says: "The innovaphone system is a powerful and sophisticated telephony and UC solution. It enables Lindex to act flexibly and to open new branches in no time. It is perfectly qualified for Lindex' demands." In the end, an enterprise WLAN network solution and an innovaphone VoWiFi solution with IP phones was set up as a hosted scenario. The innovaphone PBX serves as the new communication platform, into which around 2000 employees in 213 fashion stores have been integrated within less than 6 months.

Florian Westerdahl, CTO of AB Lindex, draws a positive conclusion, regarding the new communication infrastructure: "The employees' feedback clearly shows that they are impressed with how well the new technology works. Furthermore, they could not believe that the nationwide rollout was completed with no incidents whatsoever. This is due to excellent vendors as well as to our internal IT department, who did a very good job at coordinating vendors and store operations."
