IHSE to demonstrate Crestron control of Draco tera switch for high-end Pro AV installations

A Crestron interface is used to control a Draco tera compact KVM matrix switch at the Israeli Ministry of Transportation 24/7 Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) in Haifa; to coordinate vessel movements and coordinate rescue activities in Israeli water / IHSE GmbH (PresseBox) (Oberteuringen, ) ISE 2016: IHSE will demonstrate the integration of a Crestron AV3 enterprise-class control system with the highly successful Draco tera KVM switch, as installed in mission-critical Pro AV installations.

Crestron control systems have been installed recently to provide the intuitive and flexible control interface in several high-profile professional AV installations based on Draco tera switches: including those at the Haifa marine Rescue and Coordination Centre and Bar Ilan University by Israel system integrator DM Engineering.

For professional AV systems requiring high levels of security, robustness and flexibility, KVM switches provide an ideal solution: delivering instant bidirectional interactive response, undelayed and pristine video and unrestricted source selection to users. Sufficient redundancy can be incorporated into system design that a distribution network can deliver total and uncompromised 24/7 operation and security to any required level.

Eran Mariem, sales manager at DM Engineering said: “User interfaces based on Crestron controllers provide a natural and intuitive method to manage KVM switches in the most-demanding AV installations.  They are well-proven in use and meet the reliability requirements and demanding performance met in high-profile AV installations.”

In mission-critical situations, users must be able to configure individual workstations, videowalls, and meeting rooms to their immediate requirements, responding instantly to changes in operational status and emergency situations.  Enno Littmann, managing director of IHSE said: “The combination of IHSE KVM and Crestron control offers a solution that enables users to access remote computers at their own workstation without any constraints and to instantly select and run applications that are critical to them.”

The full range of IHSE KVM products, including the new Draco tera compact’s universal switch versions, will be available for demonstration at ISE in Amsterdam, February 9-12, 2016. Booth 10-P148.
